Create Your Own Celebration Supply Bin – Party Supplies You’ll Actually Use!
Months ago, I shared a few stories on Instagram about my bin of “Celebration Supplies.” Yes, that’s exactly how it’s labeled—because I’m always ready to celebrate at a moment’s notice! While I don’t throw parties every weekend, I do love creating birthday boxes, holiday treats, and little family celebrations throughout the year. I dip into this bin at least once a month (and usually more during festive seasons!).
Some of the items inside are leftovers from past parties, others are things I’ve grabbed on sale, or fun finds from a casual shopping trip. It’s all about being prepared for those spontaneous celebrations!

What’s Inside My Celebration Bin
Here’s a look at the must-have party supplies and celebration essentials I always keep on hand. Use this list to build your own stash of fun, budget-friendly items that make birthdays, holidays, and family events extra special!

- Silverware: I’ve collected different colors over time—perfect for holiday meals like St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, or birthdays.
- Garland: If you don’t already own one (or three), add a few! I use mine for birthdays, the end of the school year, and any quick celebration. Easy DIY and totally reusable.
- Plates: Great for delivering treats to neighbors or creating fun themed place settings. Bonus points if you match your plates and silverware!
- Dollar Store Decor: Don’t sleep on the 99¢ Store! They have amazing finds like foil balloons, DIY tassel garlands, and cake toppers.
- Balloons: A must-have for any celebration. Use them as décor, tie them to gifts, or even top off cakes with a mini balloon cluster.
- Confetti: Use sparingly (for your sanity), but it’s great for those extra-special moments like milestone birthdays.
- Honeycombs: I grabbed a pack of mini ones from Amazon—they’re cheap, colorful, and reusable for any party theme.
- Party Hats: Not essential, but definitely fun! Great for kids’ birthdays or themed family dinners.

- Treat Containers & Bags: I go through these constantly! I buy mine at Walmart or Michaels. Perfect for teacher gifts, neighbor treats, and classroom goodies. Don’t forget cute ribbon or baker’s twine!
- Tablecloths: Not just for parties! Great for family dinners, backyard BBQs, or easy cleanup after crafts.
- Straws: Another fun detail for holiday parties, girls’ nights, or just to add a pop of color to your kitchen counter.
- Napkins: I’m a Target Dollar Spot fan for these. Combine with plates, straws, and silverware for a festive holiday breakfast your family will love!
- Streamers: Keep a few colors handy for decorating kids’ doors on their birthdays—it’s a small touch that makes a big memory!
- Mini Piñatas: Dollar store win! I’ve used these for teacher appreciation gifts and end-of-year treats. Always a hit!
Extra Celebration Bin Ideas
Other fun things I’ve added over time: mini popcorn containers, photo booth props, a balloon pump, balloon garland tape, and more. These items have saved me more times than I can count—especially when a holiday celebration sneaks up!
You don’t have to build your bin overnight. Start small by saving leftover supplies and grabbing a few items when you see them on sale. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later—because birthdays and holidays come every single year, friends.
Happy Celebrating!
